"Love Is More Than Romantic Dinners"

"Love Is The Ultimate Connection"

Marveling at how blessed they were, it suddenly hit them: At that moment, their life felt just about perfect. It was the springtime of their marriage, they were just a couple of kids, young and in love, but with no idea about what life was really like.

During those years of babies and tight budgets they decided to open a flower shop and in a short time they became the customer service representatives, 24hours a day, seven days a week. He knew it was true love when his wife still managed to smile at him while cheerfully answering telephone calls from customers and feeding the baby at 3:00 a.m. in the morning.

Later in a different season of their life together like everyone else, they muddled through their share of troubles; job demands, teenagers, family issues, the passing of their parents. . . but somehow they managed. They figured out how to change their batteries when the times were good so that when the tough times rolled around, they had enough juice to make it through. They discovered that love, wasn't always fair. There were times when she needed his strength to get her through and a whole lot of times when he relied on her to share the weight of his burdens.

They also learned that love was a lot more than romantic dinners and family get-together. In real, lasting love, there is a familiarity and depth of relationship created over time. Whether marriage or friendship, it's the feeling somebodies "got your back" the same somebody who know all your bad habits but loves you anyway, and who tells you what you don't want to hear even when you know it's the truth.

All their yesterdays both good and bad had lead them to the moment of realizing what a gift it was to grow old together through the fall and winter seasons of their love. But they were surprised at how sweet it was to have the chance to observe their children as they passed through the seasons of love in their lives.

This is their love story, but you'll find that its underlying message is not so different from our love stories. That's because at the end of the day, we're all striving for the same thing. Like air, water, and food, one of most basic needs is having people we care about and who care about us. Love is the ultimate connection.
